If a short-circuit message appears when checking intact headlights or halogen lights, please proceed as follows:
- Check the test devices to see if there is a short circuit between L and N of the test object.
- Lights with a high output have such a low resistance when cold that this is interpreted as a short circuit.
- Connect such luminaires briefly to the mains so that the filament becomes hot and then carry out the test immediately afterwards.
- The filament is then still so hot that it has a higher resistance and therefore passes the short-circuit test.
The short-circuit check can be switched off in the setup of the SECUTEST M7050 series.
