Charge/discharge measurement types - What problems can occur when transferring measured values to the BT PRO Manager?

Charge - discharge measurement types: correct measured value transfer to BT PRO Manager

Procedure for charge and discharge measurements

Create the definitions of the objects to be tested in the BT PRO Manager software. Transfer the database to the Metracell BT PRO. First carry out all planned charging and discharging measurements during a charging or discharging process with the Metracell BT PRO. After all measurements have been carried out, transfer the measured values from the Metracell BT PRO to the BT PRO Manager software. After a successful measured value transfer, delete all measured values on the device so that future charge or discharge measurements on the same test object(s) can be assigned to a new charge or discharge measurement series in the BT PRO Manager software. The background to this procedure is that the BT PRO Manager software assumes that all charge or discharge measurement series are imported from the device in the course of a data transfer. It is then not possible to assign further measurements to the specific charge or discharge measurement series. This function is used to logically delimit the measurement series. Without this function, it would not be possible to distinguish between the different discharge measurement series on a test object. If the procedure differs from that described above, errors may occur when transferring data from the Metracell BT PRO to the BT PRO Manager.

Common errors and their solutions

For example, 4 measurements are planned for the charge and discharge measurement types during a charging or discharging process. After two measurements have been carried out, the measured values are transferred to the BT PRO Manager. The last 2 measurements are then carried out and the measured values are again transferred to the BT PRO Manager. However, these are then not stored in the BT PRO Manager in the measurement series under the corresponding charge or discharge measurement.

Solution:
  1. All planned charge and discharge measurements must have been carried out with the Metracell BT PRO.
  2. Delete the corresponding incomplete charge or discharge measurement series in the BT PRO Manager software under Measurement series (BA, chapter 8.13.3).
  3. Import the measurements from the Metracell BT PRO into the BT PRO Manager again. All measurement series are now available in the software.

A charge or discharge measurement is interrupted during the measurement process (e.g. the Metracell BT PRO battery has not been charged and the device switches off).

For example, 4 measurements are planned for the charge and discharge measurement types during a charging or discharging process. During the third measurement, the Metracell BT PRO switches off. The device is switched on again and the fourth measurement is carried out. If the measured values are then transferred to the BT PRO Manager, only the first 2 measurements are imported into the software.

Solution:
  1. Select the failed measurement series in the Metracell BT PRO under Data/Measured values.
  2. Press and hold the "Function" button until [XXXXXX] appears in the Block count field (BA, chapter 11.3). This deactivates the measurement series.
  3. In the BT PRO Manager, if you have already imported measured values with the failed measurement series, delete the corresponding charge or discharge measurement under Measurement series (BA, chapter 8.13.3).
  4. Import the measurements from the Metracell BT PRO into the BT PRO Manager again. All measurements are now available in the software.
