During the protective conductor test, external voltage is displayed although there is no voltage?

(FAQ Nr. PG201) 05 April 2023 - 16:28 | PROFITEST 204 | protective conductor, voltage
Relevant: PROFITEST 204

If the circuit is not closed by the protective conductor connection to be measured, AC voltage can be capacitively coupled to the now open test leads. This voltage is detected by PROFITEST and classified as external voltage. No measurement is performed, as this could lead to a short circuit in the case of a real external voltage.
