Why does the PS3 ask for the ID of the machine every time it is read in?

• When using the PS3 software, you should enter an ID (identity number) for each machine.
• Enter this number in brackets. Behind it should then be the plant name (look at the picture).
• The brackets appear when you press the shift key and the numbers 8 and 9.
