How do I update the firmware via Ethernet?

With the Mavowatt 230, 240 and 270, it is possible that the firmware in the device is corrupted. This is indicated by the following error message when the device is started up:

In this case, it is necessary to reload the firmware.
There are instructions for this at myGMC, but they are not applicable here! The instructions on myGMC assume that the device boots normally. However, this does not happen here, which is why this guide does not provide a solution.

Alternatively, it is possible to connect the device to the PC via Ethernet.
You will need this link for this: http:// < ip address > /boot

The IP address must of course have been assigned to the device beforehand!

Then this mask appears:

If you have previously downloaded the firmware via myGMC (file: "firmware.hpk"), you can transfer the firmware to the device via the above Ethernet connection and apply it.
